Long life leatherjacket nematodes are slow release pearls used to target leatherjacket larvae in soil. They help reduce root feeding in lawns and planted areas where larvae weaken grass and young plants.

Suitable for gardeners, allotment growers and households treating lawns, beds and growing areas with signs of leatherjacket damage.

Long life leatherjacket nematodes for larvae in lawn soil

Each pearl contains beneficial nematodes held inside a hydrogel capsule. After watering, the pearls break down and release them into moist soil where leatherjacket larvae are active.

Applying leatherjacket nematodes to lawns and garden areas

Use on lawns, borders and beds where root damage is visible. Apply evenly across moist soil to support movement into the root zone after watering.

When to use long life leatherjacket nematodes in UK conditions

Apply between August and October when larvae are active near the soil surface. Use in the evening or during damp conditions. Soil temperature should be at least 5°C.

How to apply long life leatherjacket nematodes to soil

Apply around 15g per m², roughly one and a half teaspoons. Sprinkle over moist soil and water thoroughly after application to activate release.
