Collection: Slug Nematodes

Slug Nematodes, The UK Gardener's Most Effective Natural Slug Control

Slugs are one of the most damaging pests in British gardens. Much of the destruction happens underground and out of sight, slugs feed on seedling roots, potato tubers, and bulbs before you ever know they're there. By the time you see the surface damage, a population is already well established in your soil.

Slug nematodes (Phasmarhabditis species) are microscopic worms that occur naturally in soil. Applying them simply boosts their numbers to a level where they actively seek out and kill slugs. They enter slugs through natural body openings and stop feeding within 3 days. The slug dies within one to three weeks, usually underground, so don't expect to see bodies. As the UK's largest nematode supplier, we stock both the full Nemasys Nemaslug range and our own Gardening Naturally slug nematodes, available in a range of sizes from small gardens up to large allotments.
