Long Life Slug Nematodes 20m² are designed as a gradual release biological control for slugs living in garden soil. They work below the surface to help reduce feeding activity around plant roots, stems and foliage in growing areas.
Ideal for use in beds, borders, containers and raised beds where damp soil conditions encourage slug activity.
Suitable for a wide range of planting including vegetables, fruit, ornamental plants, seedlings and potted displays.
The slow release format allows ongoing activity in the soil, helping support protection across key growing areas.
Long Life Slug Nematodes For Slugs In Garden Soil
These beneficial nematodes are contained within hydrogel pearls that break down after watering. As moisture reaches the pearls, the nematodes are released into the soil where slugs are present.
Slow Release Slug Nematodes For Beds, Borders And Pots
The pearl format allows gradual release rather than a single application. This makes them suitable for raised beds, planting areas and containers where continued soil contact helps support slug control.
How To Apply Long Life Slug Nematodes In The Garden
Apply approximately 15g per m², around one and a half teaspoons, onto moist soil. Spread evenly across the area and water thoroughly after application to activate the pearls.
When To Use Long Life Slug Nematodes
Apply in the evening or during dull, damp conditions. Soil temperature should be at least 5°C, and the soil should remain moist for 3 to 4 weeks after application. Main application periods are March to April and September to October.
